Jaime Reis
Jaime Reis is a Portuguese composer who studied with Karlheinz Stockhausen and Emmanuel Nunes, after having studied Composition and Electronic Music with João Pedro Oliveira. He is the founder and artistic director of the DME Festival and the Lisboa Incomum space. His music, instrumental and electroacoustic, has been performed in more than 20 countries. He has collaborated with institutions such as: ZKM, IRCAM, Musik Fabrik, The Acousmonium Project of Vienna, Aleph Guitar Quartet, Musiques & Recherches. He is a professor at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.
Mariana Vieira
Mariana Vieira (Sintra, 1997) is a composer based in Lisbon. She completed her degree in Music - Composition at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, where she studied with composers Carlos Caires and Jaime Reis. She is currently attending the Masters in Music Teaching at the same institution. Her pieces have been performed in festivals such as Young Euro Classic (Germany), Crossroads (Austria), Monaco Electroacoustique (Monaco), and Aveiro_Síntese and Música Viva (Portugal). In 2017, she won the European Composer Award with the piece "Raiz", a commission from the Young Portuguese Orchestra, which had its premiere at the Konzerthaus in Berlin. She is the executive director of the DME Festival - Days of Electroacoustic Music and of Lisboa Incomum.
Marta Domingues
Marta Mendes Pereira Domingues (2000) is a graduate student in Composition at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, having studied with Jaime Reis, Carlos Caires and currently with Carlos Marecos. She has attended masterclasses and conferences with composers such as: Åke Parmerud, Panayiotis Kokoras, Annette Vande Gorne, João Pedro Oliveira, Robert Normandeau, Mario Mary, Hans Tutschku and Kaija Saariaho. Marta develops educational projects integrating the association EMSCAN and, as a composer and founding member, the Forward Electroacoustic Music Ensemble (FEME-EMSCAN) since 2016, having been awarded the first Young Creators Prize 2017, in the music section. She is a member of the José Luís Ferreira Mixed Music Laboratory (ESML). Her pieces have been performed in events such as: DME Festival / Lisboa Incomum, Música Viva/ Oculto d'Ajuda, Aveiro Síntese, BoCA - Biennal of Contemporary Arts/ Teatro São Carlos and Monaco Electroacoustique (2017 and 2019). Her acousmatic piece Yliathim was selected for the Sonorities Belfast 2020 festival at the Sonic Arts Research Centre (SARC) and also awarded an honorable mention in the Métamorphoses competition by Influx, and was subsequently published on the CD Métamorphoses 2020.
